Speed Date your Babysitter
Every 3 months UrbanSitter hosts an event exclusively for PAMP members, the next event is being planned for Feb/March so stay tuned!
Join UrbanSitter for a fun and innovative “speed sitting” event, where you’ll have the chance to interview up to 10 sitters—just like speed-dating! Meet sitters from the Palo Alto/Menlo Park area and find your favorites for date nights, full-time, or part-time care.
Parent-only event. Interview Questions & Sitter Profile sheets will be provided. Light Refreshments & Social time will be included.
Ask a Lactation Consultant:
This workshop is weekly on Tuesdays, hosted at Parents Place. For any age breast feeding baby and moms. Cherie Tannenbaum, a Nurse Practitioner, Certified Lactation Consultant and Parent Educator leads this group.
Questions are answered regarding milk supply, latching, understanding baby’s hunger cues, pumping and storage, returning to work and more. Some individual “hands-on” help is offered and a Medela “Baby-Weigh” scale is available for checking baby”s weight.
We work with a variety of partners to offer workshops on a wide range of parenting topics. In the coming few months, here are the workshops that are scheduled:
Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Workshops: a series of workshops open to the public, and free of charge. All of these events are held at the Friedenrich Auditorium at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
Every Tuesday 10:30-noon: Mother Baby Mornings (targeted for birth to 6 months)
Every Monday 10:30-noon: Movers and Shakers Group (targeted for 5-10 month children)
DayOne Baby Workshop – Resliency: (Primarily for 0-12 month olds). Developmental Psychologist and mother of two, Kelley Abrams will share tips and strategies from the latest research on the skills needed for school and life success. Right from the start, parents can help set the course of their baby’s development.
